Samples!

So, I know that sewing samples for stores that carry my patterns will get old fast.  But right now everything is just so exciting!  I finished up some of the samples to go to the Nuttall’s Bernina store today.  It was a little intimidating to think that lots of very talented sewers would be looking closely at my stitching.  Until now I’ve just had to make sure things looked ok in a photo.  🙂  But it is what it is.  Maybe some less experienced sewers will feel less intimidated to try my patterns when they see they don’t have to be perfect!

The store had me sew them all up in Softie/Minky fabric.  So adorable!  And honestly, not as annoying as I thought it’d be.  (I’ve hear horror stories…)  The long, brown stuff (in the dragon’s ears and on some of the dinos’ feet and bellies) was super annoying, but the short stuff was just fine.  And, oh so cuddly.  And since my patterns take so little fabric you can use the minky without feeling guilty.  I’m going to have to make me some of my own to show off!
